   love the volcano the bear track. great album! nice post on harappian night enterprises you got earlier. they (or he, she or it) are playing over here in belgium in a couple of weeks. their album on bo’weavil is fantastic. sort of mish mash of lo fi field recordings, half drunk messing around with lots of instruments and tapes. dunno what to expect from their live performances.

   are they touring and i’ve missed it? or is it a one-off show? i’d expect much the same thing live as on record. mish mash of wood and electricity as you say.

   yeah i’m a fan of vtb. had the good fortune to catch (the pair of) them last year in glasgow. one of the highlights of the 2009 gig calendar.

   harrapian has two gigs in belgium. one festival gig (kraak-festival – promising line-up!) and one gig with the almighty joe mcphee/chris corsano duo headlining (also on the bill hunter gracchus – don’t know them)

   well, harappian has two concerts planned in belgium. Both line-ups are very promising

   vtb: saw them twice, once as a duo – once as a trio – charming weird avant folk sort of thing. i’ve got 5 or 6 albums. all of them contain wonderfull pieces. like early residents blended with nurse with wound.

    nah not deleted. comments with two or more links get spam-filtered…

    anything with corsano drumming is worth seeing. onyl ever seen / heard him in a ‘rock’ context so would be interesting to hear him jam with joe mcphee

    hunter gracchus do a similar thing to harappian and part wild horses (whose blew in the face record on chrionex i keep meaning to get round to reviewing). they’re all kindof connected anyway i think. again worth checking out.

    ah the hotel was easygoing designed to within an inch of its life. lovely place. full of books, pornographic and otherwise. and ten seconds away from the tube/underground/train/bahn whatever. beautiful.
