brilliant bit of neon skree and clatter at the arches last night from battles. developed a nice bright plastic sheen over their shiny titanium skeleton. was i the only one who could give or take tyondai braxton? the only one who maybe preferred most of the ep’sto some of mirrored? anyway they’ve carried on as normal and there ain’t no goofy voiced big haired hole there. john stanier’s still making  rhythm an ironman endurance trial. like his kit should be shouting ‘take it bitch’ in his face. ian williams and dave konopka still confusing you with noises from various things that sound like noises from other things. guitars that sound like steel drums fucksake. new record gloss drop’s aces and sounds mighty fine live too. makes them seem a bit more human, a bit less manmachine. kinda digging the fact they didn’t play atlas. and ice cream (video above by canada) may well be the best stupidly complicated summer pop hit written by buncha hardcore fellas ever. pleased me they have.
